    • Yakisoba Noodles: Use yakisoba stir-fry noodles that have already been cooked. Ramen noodles can be substituted for these noodles, which can be found in most supermarkets’ refrigerated areas.
    • Chicken: Use thinly cut chicken breast. You can also use skinless, boneless chicken thighs or substitute beef, pork, pork belly, or seafood such as shrimp or calamari for the chicken.
    • Onions: Utilize both white onions for flavor and green onions for color and flavor.
    • Oil: Use peanut oil since it is flavorless and can withstand high temperatures.
    • Carrot: Cut into tiny strips, often known as a matchstick cut or a julienne cut.
    • Cabbage: Cut them into approximately 1″ squares.
    • Mushrooms: Use shiitake mushrooms; you could also use white or cremini mushrooms in the same recipe.
    • Yakisoba Sauce Ingredients: Sugar, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Ketchup, and Worcester Sauce. 


    • Sauce preparation: To make the Yakisoba sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. And set aside for some time. 
    • Prepare the Noodles: Take the noodles out of their packaging and place them in a colander. Rinse and then drain. You must separate the noodles with your hands while rinsing.
    • Stir Fry Noodles, Vegetables & Chicken: A large wok or skillet should be heated to medium-high heat using peanut oil. Cook the chicken until it is no longer pink in the middle. For another 2 minutes, add the sliced onion and carrots and continue to cook until the onion is translucent. Add the cabbage, green onions, and mushrooms. Toss the ingredients together and cook for further one-and-a-half minutes.
    • Pour the Sauce on Noodles: Put the Yakisoba noodles in the wok, and then pour the sauce on top. Use tongs to mix everything together. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes or until the noodles are warm.
    • Serve & Enjoy: Now serve them hot & enjoy with sriracha sauce, if you like.

    What to do with Yakisoba Leftovers?

    Yakisoba can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two days if it is stored in an airtight container. In addition, it is possible to freeze pre-cooked yakisoba noodles for up to a month in an airtight container or bag.

    Tips for Making Yakisoba Noodles:

    • A griddle, a wok, or a cooking pan with a big cooking area is essential for ensuring that your ingredients are in direct touch with the hot surface while they are being cooked.
    • Using a meat cleaver, thinly slice the chicken for faster cooking.
    • Keep the fresh texture and crunch of stir-fried vegetables; before adding softer ingredients, stir-fry firm vegetables first. Each vegetable cooks differently, so cook them fast in succession.
    • Do not overdo it with vegetables and protein, either. We are dealing with noodles here, after all. The temptation to include an abundance of vegetables or additional meat is strong. Add too many ingredients, and the noodles will be overcooked.
    • Quickly loosen the noodles before adding them to the stir-fry ingredients. The noodles may shatter into small pieces on the griddle or wok if you do not.
